Golden Gate National Cemetery

Every time I've driven to San Francisco along Interstate 280, I've seen the Golden Gate National Cemetery over to the side. I finally made a plan to take the exit and visit it and take some photographs. It is a National Cemetery of the US and is huge - about 160 acres.

The address is
1300 Sneath Lane
San Bruno, CA 94066

It is very soberting to see so many tombstones in one place and think of all the wars fought and all the men that have died violent deaths over the centuries. I felt fortunate to be able to be there on a sunny day and a fancy digital camera taking pictures rather than bullets.
