Mt. Rainier National Park

Inspite of not succeeding in the past, or on this trip, I am quite hopefule one day of actually seeing Mount Rainier. Seattle's famously wet weather translates to heavy fog in higher elevations like Mt. Rainier and it is unfortunately possible to be at the visitor center at the base of the huge mountain and still not see it clearly.

Myrtle Falls

The only other option was to take a few small hikes, one leading to a nice little waterfall named Myrtle Falls.

Reflection Lake in the fog

Here are pictures of Reflection Lake. Trust me. Thanks to the fog, one can barely make out the lake and certainly not see any reflections at all.

Box Canyon

Box Canyon is a 150 plus foot drop from the main park road. It is an easy half mile hike with excellent views of the torrential water.
